Under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Endowments, the Al-Rasikhoon fil-Ilm Charitable Society honored the distinguished male and female students in the Holy Quran and foundation circles, totaling 599 male and female students. The ceremony was attended by: Mr. Nasser Al-Khader (Director of the Endowment Funds Department at the General Secretariat of Endowments), and Mr. Mishaal Al-Zeer Representing the endowment of the late Abdullah Rashid Al-Zeir, And Professor Dr. Yasser Al-Nashmi (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Rasikhoon fil-Ilm Charitable Society), the latter called on our students to adhere to knowledge and learn the Book of Allah, as it is of great importance in raising generations at the table of the Most Merciful. The honoring was for 248 distinguished female students in the circles, including 20 winners in the first Quranic competition, which is special for those enrolled in the Hilla circles only, and 116 female students in the Holy Quran circles, and 112 in the foundation circles. As for the number of honored male students, it was 315 students, including 38 winners in the first Hilla competition, 120 students in the Holy Quran circles, and 157 students in the foundation circles.
The ceremony included Quranic recitations and the awarding of a student from the Quran circle. A Quranic competition was also held at both ceremonies, in which the children of the mothers participated with their children by answering questions. There were also honorable examples from the circle students. In his speech, Dr. Yasser Al-Nashmi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the General Secretariat of Endowments and the supporting partners who contributed to the success of the association's programs. He pointed out the association's pride in seeing its students pass the basic stages in seeking Islamic knowledge, and its tireless efforts to hone their skills so that they may be beacons of light in society.
Dr. Al-Nashmi said: “Quran memorization circles are not just places for learning, but rather factories for a promising generation, where children are raised around the table of the Quran, drawing from its light, adopting its morals, and being refined with beneficial knowledge that illuminates their paths. We, at the Society of Those Firmly Grounded in Knowledge, believe that memorizing the Book of God builds minds, educates hearts, and instills the values of goodness and moderation. This honor is nothing but evidence of the fruits of the blessed efforts made by the General Secretariat of Endowments and its partners in supporting the journey of knowledge and the Quran. As we celebrate these male and female students today, we affirm that this is the path we want our generations to follow, for it is the path of dignity, light, and guidance.”
On his part Nasser Al-Khader saidDirector of the Endowment Funds Department at the General Secretariat of Endowments: “The General Secretariat of Endowments is proud to sponsor the Quran memorization circles, believing that investing in the Book of God is the greatest investment and has the most lasting impact. These circles are not just lessons, but rather educational incubators that create a generation armed with the Quran, strong in its faith, steadfast in its principles, and capable of facing the challenges of the age with its values and identity. He explained that our support for these initiatives is a religious duty and a trust upon our necks, and we will continue, God willing, our path in sponsoring Quranic projects, because we are certain that if the Quran takes hold of hearts, it will reform the individual, advance society, and blossom nations.”
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Yasser Al-Nashmi stressed Emphasizing the importance of enrolling children in Quranic classes, given their fundamental role in instilling Islamic values, strengthening religious identity, and preparing young people to contribute to Kuwait's renaissance and prosperity, inspired by the approach of our righteous forefathers in education and learning.
